Healthness+ coaches are lifestyle and wellness coaches — not doctors or registered dietitians. They guide you on food strategy, movement, sleep, stress, and supplement choices within the scope of preventive wellness. For medical diagnosis, prescription, or treatment, your physician remains your primary care provider.
The Healthness+ Certification Programme
Before any coach works with a client, they must complete and pass the Healthness+ Consultant Certification Programme — designed and assessed internally to the same standard we hold ourselves to.
22
subjects across five health domains
20
lessons with assessed understanding checks
2,200
maximum marks (20 MCQs × 5 marks per lesson)
What the programme covers
The 22 subjects are grouped to match the five domains of the Health Risk Assessment, ensuring that every coach can interpret your report, design your protocol, and explain their recommendations in each area:
Preventive nutrition and Indian dietary patterns
Macronutrient science (carbohydrates, proteins, fats)
Micronutrients and supplementation evidence
Metabolic health and insulin resistance
Cardiovascular risk factors in South Asians
Blood sugar regulation and pre-diabetes management
Lipid metabolism and cholesterol
Gut microbiome and digestive health
Food sensitivity, elimination, and reintroduction
Anti-inflammatory eating patterns
Sleep physiology and sleep hygiene
Stress biology and cortisol management
Movement prescription and exercise science
Habit formation and behaviour change
Motivational coaching and client communication
Women's health — PCOS, thyroid, hormonal patterns
Weight management and body composition
Reading and contextualising lab reports (wellness lens)
Scope of practice and medical referral criteria
Ayurvedic and functional nutrition principles
Client onboarding and protocol design
Ethics, confidentiality, and professional boundaries
Certification Grades and Career Path
Coaches are graded on their assessment performance. Grade determines which client profiles they are cleared to work with independently — more complex cases (Amber and Red band) require a higher certification grade.
Foundation
Up to 55% (up to 1,210 marks)
Cleared to support Green-band clients under senior coach supervision. Focuses on habit maintenance and optimisation.
Proficient
56 – 70% (1,232 – 1,540 marks)
Cleared for Green and straightforward Amber clients. Full independent caseload with monthly peer review.
Advanced
71 – 85% (1,562 – 1,870 marks)
Cleared for all Amber and standard Red clients. Eligible to co-supervise Foundation coaches.
Distinguished
86 – 100% (1,892 – 2,200 marks)
Cleared for all client profiles including complex Red cases. Eligible for senior coach and programme lead roles.
Ongoing Standards
Certification is the entry requirement — not the endpoint. Healthness+ coaches are held to ongoing standards:
- Weekly case review sessions with the senior coach lead
- Monthly protocol audits to ensure recommendations stay within scope of practice
- Mandatory escalation to medical advisor for any client with active chronic disease flags
- Re-assessment required before moving to a higher complexity caseload
- Zero-tolerance policy for scope violations — coaches may not diagnose, prescribe, or advise on active medical treatment
Medical Oversight
The Healthness+ programme is designed under the oversight of our medical advisor, who reviews programme frameworks, escalation criteria, and edge-case protocols.
Dr. Prakash Biranje
MBBS · Medical Advisor
Dr. Biranje provides clinical guidance on programme design, safe supplement recommendations, and the criteria by which Healthness+ coaches should refer clients to their physicians. He reviews the HRA framework and coaches' escalation pathways to ensure they remain consistent with current preventive-medicine guidelines.
What Our Coaches Do Not Do
Being clear about boundaries is part of what makes a Healthness+ coach trustworthy:
- Coaches do not diagnose medical conditions — they identify wellness risk patterns and refer to physicians when clinical evaluation is warranted
- Coaches do not prescribe medication or advise on changes to existing prescriptions
- Coaches do not interpret lab results as clinical findings — they contextualise blood work within a lifestyle and wellness lens only
- Coaches do not provide emergency or urgent care guidance — any urgent symptom is directed to a doctor or emergency services immediately
